Prerequisites
- An Nmbrs account.
- A dedicated Client login scoped to the debtor you want to sync (see Step 1). A regular accountant login is not enough.
Step 1: Create a Client login under the target debtor
In Nmbrs, create a Client login scoped to the debtor you want to connect. See Nmbrs’s guide: Creating a client login (Accountants). Note that viewing this guide requires an Nmbrs support account.Step 2: Add the Nmbrs connector in Peliqan
In Peliqan, go to Connections, click Add new, find NMBRS in the list and click Connect. Pick the NMBRS card, not NMBRS (Private App), which is a separate connector for customers who register their own Nmbrs app. Fill in the form:- Connection Name: a name for this connection.
- Start Year / End Year: optional. The form helptext mentions wage components, but these fields scope every year based table: company payroll runs, payroll run employees, fixed and variable wage components, employee cost centers, employee departments, fixed hours, cost per hour, company wage models, labour agreements and parental leave. Left blank, only the current year is synced, so set Start Year if you need history.
- Scopes: prefilled with all available scopes. Remove only what you don’t need, and keep
debtor.info.read: it is what makes the debtor picker on the authorize screen work. - Target data warehouse / Group / Description: standard Peliqan fields.
Step 3: Select tables and connection capabilities
Click Advanced to open the table selection screen. All tables are selected by default; use the search box or Select all / Clear to choose what you need. The same screen has two connection capability toggles:- Enable ETL: syncs this connection’s data into the data warehouse on a schedule.
- Enable writeback: allows API calls back to the source, including write actions.
Step 4: Authorize
You are redirected to Nmbrs to sign in, and then to Nmbrs’s consent screen onapiconsent.nmbrsapp.com, titled “Peliqan needs to access your data”. Sign in with the Client login from Step 1, not your regular accountant login. Nmbrs shows the Peliqan app with an orange Unverified badge; this is expected and safe to approve. Under “The app will access” Nmbrs lists the data groups Peliqan requested: Employee, Company, Debtor, User and Document Information. Debtor Information only appears when the debtor.info.read scope is included.
Lower on the same screen, under “Select which profile will grant the data”, tick the checkbox next to the debtor you want to connect and select its profile in the Profile column. The dropdown groups profiles by type and only lists logins that are tied to that debtor, for example “Client Login (1)”. The Allow button stays greyed out until both the debtor and a profile are set. Accountants with many debtors can use the debtor search box, the selected/deselected filter and the pager (20 rows per page). Click Allow; you are returned to Peliqan and the connection is created, after which the first sync runs.
Good to know
- The connector offers 35 tables: debtors, companies and company addresses, cost centers, cost units, hour codes, payroll runs, schedules, wage models, contracts, departments, managers, employees, employments, employee details, personal info, addresses, salaries, absences, parental leave, labour agreements, functions, extra fields, fixed and variable hours, fixed and variable wage components, cost centers, cost per hour, departments, schedules, leave requests, leave balances, leave groups and payroll run employees.
- A connection syncs all debtors the authorized login can access. Since a Client login is scoped to one debtor, connect once per debtor you want to sync.
debtorIdandcompany_idare included as columns so you can tell records apart. - The default sync interval is every 24 hours.
- Six tables sync incrementally:
employments,schedules,employee_salaries,employee_absences,employee_labouragreementsandemployee_parentalleave. All other tables are fully reloaded on every sync.
