# Supabase - Getting started in Peliqan

> Learn how to connect your Supabase Postgres database to Peliqan using the Postgres connector and troubleshoot connection issues with the transaction pooler.

Supabase is an open-source alternative to Firebase.

In Peliqan, use the Postgres connector to connect to your Supabase database.

## How to connect

In Supabase, click on "Connect" and select Postgres (PSQL).

Copy/paste the hostname, port, username, password and database.

In Peliqan, click on "New connection" and choose Postgres from the list. Enter the above details.

## Troubleshooting

If the Supabase hostname from "direct connection" does not resolve, expand the details of "transaction pooler" and use both the hostname and username from this section:
